How to read our prices
- Bands are for a standard room in shoulder season. That's roughly February to June and September to November.
- We give a band, not a nightly rate. Rates move too much to promise a number, so you'll see things like "mid-range, and close to double in July."
- Family pages quote the room you'd actually book. A family suite, not the cheapest double.
- "Cheap" means best-value 4-star. We don't cover 3-stars, guesthouses or hostels.
When prices jump
Two periods catch Aussies out every year: the July school holidays and Christmas to mid-January. Expect the big family resorts to charge a lot more then, and to sell out early.
If your dates are locked to school holidays, book early. If they're not, the weeks either side of the holidays are often much better value.
